IEM Season VII - World Championship
Intel Extreme Masters World Championship will see the 24 best StarCraft II players of the Season 2012-13 competing for the win. Since gamescom in August 2012 these players have played all over the globe in order to qualify for the World Championship, which will take place from the 5-9th of March at CeBIT in Hanover.
Iron Squid - Chapter II
The Iron Squid – Chapter II is an offline premier event announced on September 27th 2012. The tournament will gather 32 players from around the world. Twenty-four players will be invited to the event and the eight remaining spots were granted via four qualifiers (one for players living in Korea or in SEA on October 13th, one for players living in Europe on October 14th, one for players living in North America and Latin America on October 20th, and an open qualifier on October 21st). The semifinals and finals will be held offline in Paris. The event will be broadcasted in French by Pomf et Thud, MoMaN, Anoss and Trunks; in English by Wolf, Khaldor, Day[9], Kaelaris and ToD; and in Russian by Igor.

NASL Season 4
The North American Star League, often abbreviated as NASL, is a competitive StarCraft 2 league that was introduced in February 2011. The North American Star League Season 4 is the fourth season of the North American Star League. 45 players compete for an unannounced prize pool over a three-month season. 4 players qualified from the Season 3 open tournament, 4 players qualify from the Season 4 qualifiers, 4 players are invited and the remaining 32 players qualified from their placement in season 3.

IGN ProLeague Season 5
IPL5 will take place in Las Vegas, Nevada at the Cosmopolitan on November 29 through December 2, 2012. In cooperation with GOMTV, IPL5 will also host the 2012 Global StarCraft II League Season 5 Code S semifinals and Code S finals, as well as the 2012 GSL World Championship. Several qualifiers were held, beginning in May 2012, in order to determine 39 players to join the IPL 4 winner, aLive, in the main event. The qualifiers were held on weekends, which led to some players missing the opportunity to qualify for IPL 5 due to conflicting tournament schedules. As a result, IPL announced that two extra rounds of midweek qualifiers will be held, from which a further 16 players will earn places in the main event. Ultimately, there will be 72 qualified players in the main event.
2012 GSL World Championship
The 2012 GSL World Championship is an event to be held at IPL 5, organized by both IGN and GOMTV, where a team of all-stars from South Korea take on top players from Europe, America and South-East Asia/Oceania in team league.
2012 DreamHack Winter
The Winter tournament is the fifth and final stop on the 2012 DreamHack Open. It features a BYOC tournament followed by the Grand Finals where 24 qualified players will compete for the title. Aside from StarCraft 2: Wings of Liberty, there will also be competitions in Dota 2, Counter-Strike Global Offensive, League of Legends, Battlefield 3, Super Street Fighter IV Arcade Edition and Quake Live. 2012 Battle.net World Championship
The 2012 Battle.net World Championship is a premier global event organised by Blizzard Entertainment, and which will feature some of the best players of the world. Slated to take place in Shanghai, China on November 17-18 2012, the Battle.net World Championship will host this year’s StarCraft II and World of Warcraft Arena World Championship tournaments. It will be held instead of a 2012 BlizzCon Invitational. The World Championship will be the final event of a four-tier program, with tournaments at the continental, national, and sub-national level throughout 2012:
IPTL Season 1 Premier Division 2012
This tournament is the first iteration in the IGN Pro Team League (IPTL) series held by IGN. The IPTL consists of 3 divisions will be cast by IGN's in-house casting team. The 2011-2012 SK Planet Proleague Season 2 is the 9th Proleague broadcast by OGN. It is the Second season after Hwaseung OZ, WeMade FOX and MBCGame Hero disbanded as well as KeSPA forming a new Eighth Team. The Season is a Hybrid between StarCraft: Brood War and StarCraft II meant to easier the transition to StarCraft II.

MLG Pro Circuit 2012 - Summer Championship
The 2012 MLG Pro Circuit Summer Championship is the final event of the 2012 MLG Summer season. As with previous MLG Pro Circuit events, the tournament has two preliminary stages - a Group Stage for the highest seeded players and a double-elimination Open Bracket. However, the Group Stage has a new name and format: double-elimination Group Play replaces the round-robin Pool Play from previous Championships. The Open Bracket and Group Play are conjoined in a culminating double-elimination Championship Bracket.

Intel Extreme Masters Global Challenge: Cologne
The IEM Season VII - Global Challenge Cologne is the first tournament in the Intel Extreme Masters Season VII, taking place in Cologne Germany during the video-game fair gamescom. For the first time in IEM's StarCraft 2 history, the tournament will feature an Open Bracket where 32 players will compete for 8 spots in the main event, joining the 24 players that qualified directly from four regional qualifiers across the world. The tournament boasts a $31,800 prize pool distributed across all 24 participating players and will be cast by Artosis, Day[9], Kaelaris and Tasteless with Jarett Cale as host.
IPL Team Arena Challenge 3
This tournament is the third iteration in the IPL Team Arena Challenge series held by IPL. It will have a four semi-open qualifiers, with IPL accepting teams based off a sent application. The first three online qualifier will be held on April 14th, April 21st, April 28th, and May 5th with the top two teams from each qualifier will qualify for the main tournament.
ASUS ROG Summer 2012
The Assembly Summer 2012 will be the fourth ASUS ROG StarCraft II Tournament, held on 2.-4. August. The three day event will gather 32 players competing for a $30 000 prize pool. This line-up will be filled with invites and qualified players through two online qualifier tournaments. The main event will feature two pairs of shoutcasters, Apollo and TLO on one hand, and Khaldor and Wolf on the other hand. The 2012 MLG Summer Arena is a 32-player tournament held on July 20th to July 22nd in New York City. It is the Arena event in the 2012 MLG Summer Season. The top eight finishers from 2012 MLG Spring Championship will join the winners of each invite-only online regional qualifier to compete for an $26,400 prize pool, seeding for pool play, and all-expenses paid trips to the 2012 MLG Summer Championship in Raleigh. Artosis, djWheat, Day9, Apollo, and MrBitter will provide casting.
NASL Season 3
Committed to delivering the highest level and most entertaining eSports production possible, the North American Star League has prepared a plethora of improvements for NASL Season 3. To make each week of the season more interesting, the format of NASL Season 3 has been revamped with a new wildcard and playoff system, thereby making each regular season match more important as players fight against elimination and compete for $100,000 in prizing. Similar to previous seasons, the league will consist of 45 players divided into 5 divisions of 9 players each. The season will commence on April 11th with 8 weeks of regular season round robin competition.
To make each match in the regular season more exciting, a $150 prize pool will be on the line for every match. By offering a prize for every single match, players will have a stronger incentive to play at their best, even if they have already secured their desired standing in the league. Furthermore, the addition of a cash prize for every match gives every player in the league a chance to win something.

2012 DreamHack Open: Summer
The DreamHack EIZO Open first stop in Stockholm was a huge success with Mousesports ThorZaIN and TSL Polt qualifying for the SEK 550 000 Grand Final at DreamHack Winter 2012. Now it’s time for the second stop at DreamHack Summer 2012 with another 2 slots to the Grand Final and additionally 200 000 SEK in prize money to the top-4.
At DreamHack Summer 2012 the tournament format will be very similar to the DreamHack EIZO Open Stockholm but played over 3 days. The maximum capacity is 128 players and all players, pro’s and amateurs start on equal terms.
On top of the 200 000 SEK up for grabs, Top-2 will get direct qualification to the Grand Final at DreamHack Winter 2012 and top-16 will be awarded qualification points. The top four finishers from 2012 MLG Spring Arena 1 will join the winners of each invite-only online regional qualifier and other invites to compete for an $26,400 prize pool, seeding for pool play, and all-expenses paid trips to the 2012 MLG Spring Championship in Anaheim. GOMTV presents 2012 GSL Season 2. The new format has made it harder than ever to stay in Code S! The second GSL of 2012 will feature the best StarCraft II players in the world in a battle of wits, nerves and skill. GSL Season 2 will run from March 12th, 2012 until May 12th, 2012.
Iron Squid
The Iron Squid is an offline premier event which was announced on January 14th 2012. The tournament will gather twenty players from all around the world, eighteen of them being invited to the event, while the two remaining spots will be granted via qualifiers (held on January 22nd and February 5th). The group stage and the quarterfinals of the main event will be played online, while the last four will gather in Paris on May 5th 2012 in order to be played offline, in a convention center which can accommodate up to 2 500 spectators.

The 2012 MLG Spring Arena 1 is an 8-player tournament held on April 20th to April 22nd in New York City. It is the first of two Arena events in the 2012 MLG Spring Season. The top eight finishers from 2012 MLG Winter Championship were invited to compete for an $10,900 prize pool and four all-expenses-paid trips to the 2012 MLG Spring Championship to participate in pool play. IGN ProLeague Season 4
Since its inaugural event, IPL has established itself as one of the elite tournaments in the eSports scene. It will be broadcast by Tasteless, Artosis, djWHEAT, Day(9), Tumba, Adebisi, Rob Simpson, itmeJP, Robin, Kibblez, Psylence, and Axel.[2] The tournament's format is similar to previous MLG Pro Circuit events with two preliminary stages - a round-robin Group Stage for the highest seeded players and a double-elimination Open Bracket. They are conjoined in a culminating double-elimination Championship Bracket.
North American Star Team League
The NASL Team League will pit eight of the world’s best teams battling each week for a $10,000 prize pool. Four invited teams include the top four finishers from the second season of the GosuCoaching Premiere League – Empire, EG, Mouz, and Liquid. Rounding out the lineup of teams will be four teams from two qualifying tournaments.
The league will be played in a round robin style, with each team playing every other team in the league. Matches will be played KOTH style – with the winning player continuing to fight until he is defeated; a match is won when four of the opposing team’s players are defeated.
IPL Team Arena Challenge 2
This tournament is a double-elimination bo9 winner's format. Each match will consist of five players from each team. Teams choose their first player blind, then the winner of the first game stays on to play a new player from the losing team. The winner of each game stays on until all five players from the opposing team have been defeated. This can result in an all-kill, where one player defeats all five of the opposing players in a row. It can also result in a reverse all-kill, where a team's anchor player can come back from 0-4 to win it all for their team!
If Team A loses to Team B in their first match, they will drop into the lower or losers bracket and will have another chance to fight their way to the finals. The grand finals will require the team coming from the lower bracket to win twice in order to become the champions, while the team coming from the winners or upper bracket will only need to win one bo9.

MLG Winter Arena 2012
The 2012 MLG Winter Arena is an 32-player tournament held on February 24th to February 26th in New York City. It marks the first MLG LAN-Event in 2012 and the debut for the new MLG Pro Circuit system for 2012. Even though all players will be in New York City, the event will have no spectators and so will only be streamed online. On February 13th it was announced that the Winter Arena would be pay-per-view and people who chose not to pay, would not be allowed to watch the Winter Arena matches. Tasteless, Artosis, djWHEAT, and Rob "Malarh" Simpson were confirmed as main-casters, itmeJP, Tumba, Robin, and Adebisi as side-casters.
ASUS ROG Tournament ASSEMBLY Winter 2012
One year after the Assembly Winter 2011, which was the first professional StarCraft II tournament held in Finland, the ASSEMBLY welcomes the ASUS ROG Tournament during its 2012 Winter convention. The event will feature 32 players elected among applicants, and will be broadcast via two free HD streams in English. The shoutcasters will be TotalBiscuit and Apollo on the main stream and Khaldor, Kaelaris and MrBitter on a secondary stream.

IEM Season VI - Global Challenge Kiev
The IEM Season VI - Global Challenge Kiev is a StarCraft2 tournament which takes place in Kiev, Ukraine on January 19th to 22nd. The tournament is the fifth event in the 6th season of the ESL's Intel Extreme Masters series. 16 qualified players will compete in a $21,000 tournament and for the chance to earn an invite to the Season VI World Championship.
The Ukrainian game center CyberSport Arena will be the host of the first Global Challenge in 2012. As with the Global Challenge New York it's the second time in a row for Kiev to host an Intel Extreme Masters event. This time not only Europe's best gamers will meet, but also America and Asia will send their best gamers to compete for $93,000 and World Championship slots in for StarCraft 2, League of Legends and Counter-Strike from January 19th to 22nd.

The AOL is a chance to see all those matchups you have always wanted to see in GSL but did not come to pass.
IPL Team Arena Challenge
This tournament is a double-elimination bo9 winner's format. Each match will consist of five players from each team. Teams choose their first player blind, then the winner of the first game stays on to play a new player from the losing team. The winner of each game stays on until all five players from the opposing team have been defeated. This can result in an all-kill, where one player defeats all five of the opposing players in a row. It can also result in a reverse all-kill, where a team's anchor player can come back from 0-4 to win it all for their team!
If Team A loses to Team B in their first match, they will drop into the lower or losers bracket and will have another chance to fight their way to the finals. The grand finals will require the team coming from the lower bracket to win twice in order to become the champions, while the team coming from the winners or upper bracket will only need to win one bo9.
GSL 2011 Blizzard Cup
The Blizzard Cup is a tournament in which GOMTV plans to look back at and conclude the year 2011 and determine the BEST of BEST. Additionally, other events like Best Coach Award, Fan Favorite Player Award, Best Player of their respective Race Award.

The North American Star League aims to be the premiere Starcraft 2 event in North America in terms of prize money and prestige. 40 of the world's best players will be featured weekly and fans can vote for their favorite players to increase their chances of being selected for the league. 2011 MLG Pro Circuit/Providence
The third weekend in November brought the 2011 MLG Pro Circuit to Providence, Rhode Island for the sixth and final event of the season. The weekend featured competitions in StarCraft 2, League of Legends, Halo: Reach, Call of Duty: Black Ops, and others. As the national championship event, the StarCraft 2 format was changed to a seeded double-elimination bracket, ditching the standard pool play. The tournament boasted an incredibly strong group of seeded players and an extremely dangerous open bracket, featuring many of the world's best players
Arena of Legends : Team Ace Invitational
Blizzard presents the Team Ace Invitational Tournament at G-Star 2011. 2 representatives from each team will compete to determine the best of the best.
World Cyber Games Korea 2011
Players that qualified through national WCG tournaments all around the world will compete for the title of World Cyber Games 2011 champion. The three players to represent Korea will be determined through the WCG Korea tournament. 32 players will compete but only 3 will become the national representatives for Korea at the WCG Grand Finals in Busan, Korea.

2011 Global Battle.net Invitational
The Blizzcon 2011 StarCraft II Invitational was held at Blizzard's BlizzCon 2011 event alongside the GSL October Finals. 16 players from eight regions who qualified to compete will met in Anaheim, California to decide the 2011 BlizzCon champion.
2011 MLG Pro Circuit/Orlando
The Fifth Event of the MLG 2011 Pro Circuit arrives in Orlando, Florida. The weekend features Starcraft 2, Halo: Reach, Call of Duty: Black Ops, and League of Legends competitions for both invited and signed-up players. Starcraft 2 is once again on the main stage, dual cast on 2 streams by Tasteless, Artosis, Day[9], djWHEAT, Husky and JP McDaniel. MLG Orlando will also feature two additional beta streams (for MLG League members only) that will be cast by the up-and-coming casters Adebisi, Nerski, Tumba and Robin.
IGN ProLeague Season 3
The eSports division of IGN Entertainment is excited to announce IGN Pro League 3: Origins, boasting the top players of the world competing for a USD $100,000 prize pool! This comes following the success of the first two IPL tournaments, which exemplified the quality of IPL players and demonstrated high production value.

DreamHack Valencia Invitational is being held on September 17, 2011. DreamHack will invite eight world class StarCraft II players who will fight in a one-day tournament in the beautiful Veles e Vents building located in the Valencia Street Formula1 Circuit and the 33rd America’s Cup harbour.

2011 MLG Pro Circuit/Raleigh
The fourth event of the MLG 2011 Pro Circuit, held in Raleigh, North Carolina. The tournament features Starcraft 2, League of Legends, Halo:Reach, Call of Duty:Black Ops and others.
Starcraft 2 is once again on the main stage, cast by Artosis & Tasteless and Day[9] & Husky with JP McDaniel interviewing the players appearing on stage. JP McDaniel also spent some time in the casting booths with Tasteless and Artosis. There were two streams available once again - a blue and red stream that occasionally featured the same coverage.
IEM Season VI - Global Challenge Cologne
The sixth season of the Intel Extreme Masters, the global league of the video game champions, will take off with its first Global Challenge at gamescom 2011 in Cologne (August 17 - 21). The event will host the world's best gamers fighting for a share of 53,000 US Dollar and a slot in the World Championship competition, the grand finale of each season of the league.
After Hours Gaming League: Season 1
Each AHGL team consists of up to twelve players, generally qualified through internal company play-offs. Over nine weeks, commencing July 5th, these eight teams will battle their way to the tournament brackets, until the last two teams meet live onstage for the finals on the Facebook campus in Palo Alto, California on Friday, August 19, 2011. Day[9]TV will donate the $5,000 grand prize to the winner’s charity of choice.
All the AHGL tournament action will be narrated by Day[9] along with other popular eSports personalities and will be broadcast to hundreds of thousands of viewers all over the globe via Justin.TV, Day[9]TV and Facebook Live!
2011 North American Battle.net Invitational
The 2011 North American Battle.net Invitational will bring together several of the best North American StarCraft II and World of Warcraft Arena players to test their mettle. The StarCraft II tournament will be a live event that takes place on August 12 – 13 at Blizzard HQ in Irvine, California.
With a total prize pool of over $52,000, there will be a lot on the line for the competitors, but riches aren’t all they’re fighting for. The top two World of Warcraft teams and StarCraft II players from the North American Battle.net Invitational will earn an invitation to the 2011 Global Battle.net Invitational held at BlizzCon in Anaheim, California. The global competition will be fierce, but they’ll have a shot at the biggest BlizzCon prize pool yet.
The 2011 North American Battle.net Invitational will be broadcasted free to all viewers, with live commentary of the StarCraft II events provided by Sean “Day[9]” Plott and JP McDaniel.
