The North American Star League Season 4 is the fourth season of the North American Star League. 45 players compete for an unannounced prize pool over a three-month season. 4 players qualified from the Season 3 open tournament, 4 players qualify from the Season 4 qualifiers, 4 players are invited and the remaining 32 players qualified from their placement in season 3.
NASL Season 3
Committed to delivering the highest level and most entertaining eSports production possible, the North American Star League has prepared a plethora of improvements for NASL Season 3. To make each week of the season more interesting, the format of NASL Season 3 has been revamped with a new wildcard and playoff system, thereby making each regular season match more important as players fight against elimination and compete for $100,000 in prizing. Similar to previous seasons, the league will consist of 45 players divided into 5 divisions of 9 players each. The season will commence on April 11th with 8 weeks of regular season round robin competition.
To make each match in the regular season more exciting, a $150 prize pool will be on the line for every match. By offering a prize for every single match, players will have a stronger incentive to play at their best, even if they have already secured their desired standing in the league. Furthermore, the addition of a cash prize for every match gives every player in the league a chance to win something.
North American Star Team League
The NASL Team League will pit eight of the world’s best teams battling each week for a $10,000 prize pool. Four invited teams include the top four finishers from the second season of the GosuCoaching Premiere League – Empire, EG, Mouz, and Liquid. Rounding out the lineup of teams will be four teams from two qualifying tournaments.
The league will be played in a round robin style, with each team playing every other team in the league. Matches will be played KOTH style – with the winning player continuing to fight until he is defeated; a match is won when four of the opposing team’s players are defeated.
